Tony Turner

Tony Turner is a product of Ottawa’s rich roots music scene. His thoughtful tunes reveal his love of history, landscapes and the precious moments of ordinary people, all delivered beautifully with his trademark rich baritone voice. Tony has recorded three albums – A Matter of Time, produced by Ian Tamblyn, “covers Canada’s rustic backwater beat, wrote Roddy Campbell in Penguin Eggs magazine. The Lost Sketches, explores the many facets of loss. The complexities of love are found in Tony’s latest recording – Love and Other Attractions, produced by Keith Glass (Prairie Oyster). Tony’s much-loved anthemic “Circle of Song”, has just been published in Rise Again, the sequel to Rise Up Singing, the popular folk music songbook. Tony’s catchy song Harperman propelled him into the national spotlight for his courage and honesty. Expect a little of everything from this diverse and heartfelt performer.
