Cody Coyote

Cody Coyote was born on April 17th, 1992 and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He is both a Hip-Hop/Experimental recording artist and a songwriter. He has been making music for most of his life and this music strongly reflects on his upbringing in the nation’s capital, his life experiences and issues found within First Nations communities. After the release of the videos “What You Get Now” and “Warrior”, a collaboration with fellow First Nation artist Aspects, producer of “Snow Goons” and Ghostface Killah from the “Wu Tang Clan”, he recorded his first EP entitled “Lose Control”. This CD was nominated at the 2015 “Indigenous Music Awards” in the “Best Rap/Hip Hop CD” category, and in the “Single Of The Year” category for “Warrior”. A lot of his inspiration comes from his life experiences, his involvement in activism for First Nations communities and his passion for helping others, particularly helping youth showcase their talents with music.
